The 10th annual Merchants & Music Festival is brought to you by the Fort Thomas Renaissance Board. The Merchants & Music outdoor festival celebrates the merchants of Fort Thomas, KY and pairs them with nationally-known recording artists and fun activities for the entire family. It includes a full day of country music, shopping with our local merchants and farmer’s market patrons and all in a family-friendly environment.

John Michael Montgomery is no stranger to Kentucky, born in Danville and raised in Garrard County, he has been playing his beautiful country music for over two decades.

He has had more than thirty singles on the Billboard country charts, including two of Billboard’s Number One country singles of the year: “I Swear” (1994) and “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)” (1995). Five more of Montgomery’s singles have reached the top of the country charts: “I Love the Way You Love Me“, “Be My Baby Tonight“, “If You’ve Got Love”, “I Can Love You Like That”, and “The Little Girl”, while thirteen more have reached Top Ten.

During his career (and he’s not finished yet0, he has received the CMA Horizon Award, was named the  ACM’s Top New Vocalist, setting off a long series of awards that  included the CMA’s Single and Song of the Year, Billboard’s Top Country  Artist, and a Grammy nomination.
